The Boston Celtics have a great opportunity in front of them entering Game 3 of their Eastern Conference semifinals series versus the Toronto Raptors.
A win for the C’s on Thursday night would give them a commanding 3-0 series lead.
It won’t be easy for the Celtics, though. The Raptors have been here before. Toronto was trailing 0-2 in last year’s Eastern Conference finals against the Milwaukee Bucks and then won four consecutive games to earn an NBA Finals berth.
However, the Raptors did have arguably the best player in the NBA in Kawhi Leonard last year, and he no longer plays for Toronto, but the experience the team’s players gained from that Bucks series should help them against the Celtics.
The Celtics didn’t play anywhere close to their best in Game 2 and still escaped with a 102-99 win. If they take better care of the ball and get better shooting nights from Kemba Walker and Jaylen Brown, a 3-0 series advantage could be theirs.
