De’Aaron Fox vs. Kyle Lowry

The new kid on the point guard block versus one of the league’s old guard who joined Chris Bosh and DeMar DeRozan on the Raptors’ 10K scoring club; Lowry missed Toronto’s visit to Sacramento earlier this month because of personal reasons as part of the team’s four-game Western swing; season’s first and only battle between Fox and Lowry should be lively and entertaining, especially if the Raptors allow Fox to get into the paint; Fox sets the pace for the Kings, who aren’t known for their defence; when he’s rolling, Fox can light up any opponent; Fox scored 16 points, dished off 10 assists, had eight rebounds and recorded one block in 39 minutes Wednesday when the Kings downed the Orlando Magic; in his three previous games, Fox scored at least 20 points; Lowry had more turnovers (4) than assists (3) in Toronto’s loss to Milwaukee on a night when Lowry went 6-for-8 from distance.
