NEED TO KNOW

  • Busy and banged-up weekend: The Sixers are finishing off a rare home back-to-back set of games after hosting Cleveland on Saturday night. Philadelphia been without starting guard Josh Richardson for the last five games, and Joel Embiid sat out Saturday’s game with a hip contusion but could play Sunday.
  • Getting work in: The Raptors took advantage of a relatively slow part of the schedule to get in three practices this week. “Every now and then you gotta go back and get back to the basics and remember some of our starting points on some things, too, so we’ve been able to do both of those things, it’s been good,” Raptors coach Nick Nurse said Saturday.
  • Streak is alive: Toronto has beaten Philadelphia 14 straight times at the Scotiabank Arena but split their games in Philadelphia last season. They will be back at the First Union Center in March.
