On Thursday, the Toronto Raptors announced that they have recalled first-round pick Malachi Flynn from assignment with the Raptors 905 in the NBA G League.

Flynn appeared in six games with the 905, averaging 20.8 points and 5.5 assists on 40.9% shooting from 3-point range. He produced 16 points, five assists and four rebounds in his final game on Thursday morning in a win over the Salt Lake City Stars.

The Raptors recalled Flynn with Kyle Lowry questionable to play with a thumb injury Thursday on the road versus the Milwaukee Bucks. Raptors head coach Nick Nurse said prior to the game that Flynn is expected to be available to play after flying in from Orlando.

With the Raptors shorthanded, Flynn may be needed to fill in after logging 33 minutes earlier in the day with the 905. Players in the past have played both in the NBA and G League on the same day but rarely have they played in two different cities in both leagues.
