- Jeff Koinange could not hide his excitement after the NBA executive Masai Ujiri surprised him with a customised gift after their interview
- Ujiri had hidden the gift behind his pillow during the interview on Citizen TV
- The Toronto Raptor jersey valued at KSh 27000 had Koinange’s name printed on the back
Citizen TV news anchor Jeff Koinange received a gift from Toronto Raptors President Masai Ujiri during an interview on JKLive on Wednesday, September 15.
Towards the end of the interview, Ujiri pulled out a custom made sports jersey he had stashed behind his pillow and handed it over to the flamboyant media personality.
The Toronto Raptor jersey was custom-made with Koinange’s name printed at the back.
According to the official NBA store, an Icon’s Edition jersey, similar to the one the news anchor was gifted, costs $249 (KSh27,409).
Because everyone likes surprises, Koinange could not hide his excitement when he was given the customised sports jersey.
The president pulled his leg that he is going to sign him as a Toronto Raptor player hence the custom-made sports jersey.
I’m gonna sign you, you won’t do this job anymore, come play for the Raptors,” Ujiri said in jest.
While Koinange joined the humour saying he is ready for that:
“Did you hear that mom, I’m going to Toronto.”
Jeff dared to uproot Koinange Street road sign
In a separate article published on TUKO.co.ke, the TV presenter hilariously recalled the day his friends at St Marys school dared him to uproot the Koinange street road sign.
He told Janet Mbugua during their sit down that it was the naughtiest thing he ever did while in school.
So one time, we decided we’re going to go and uproot the sign on Koinange Street. It was a challenge,” Jeff replied.
The JKL host explained that his friends gave him that kind of challenge because the road sign bears his name.
