The Memphis Grizzlies face the Toronto Raptors Saturday in Tampa, Florida (6:30 p.m, Bally Sports Southeast), to end a three-game road trip
Jaren Jackson Jr. will start for the first time this season alongside Ja Morant, Dillon Brooks, Kyle Anderson and Jonas Valanciunas. Jackson has come off the bench in his previous seven games as the Grizzlies have been cautious working him back from knee surgery.
It’s a lineup that started 14 games last season and gives the Grizzlies (33-33) a better look at the role Jackson has had in the past two seasons. It might be the shakeup needed as the Raptors (27-40) look to sweep the season series.
Toronto is without six players, including guards Kyle Lowry (rest) and Fred VanVleet (injury recovery). Grayson Allen (left hand) remains out for the Grizzlies.
Memphis needs a win to keep pace with the No. 8 seed Golden State Warriors, who are a half-game ahead of Grizzlies. With Jackson back as a starter, could it be the boost needed with six games left in the season?
