Materials as language that translates meaning.

Human curiosity invites innovation and aesthetic experimentation. In that spirit, Harbourfront Centre is thrilled to present Material Sampling, an engaging, five-day symposium that will explore how different materials are used in the creation (and innovation) of all kinds of objects.

Just as the name suggests, the event, presented in partnership with Craft Ontario, will focus on material sampling, playing off of the notion of sampling as a teaching or testing process, allowing craft and design professionals to tackle the world’s leading challenges, like economic disparity, waste and environmental destruction.

Join us online November 14-21 to experience a keynote address by Seetal Solanki, four panels on diverse topics and moderated breakout chat sessions.
