Today was a fun day for the boys in blue – let’s start with the scrimmage teams:

Jack “Soupy” Campbell tells us he’s not jealous that Ilya “Souperman” Mikheyev got thaat soup endorsement and he didn’t: “I’m more jealous of the people who get to work with him on the commercials, because he’s such a great guy.”

Sheldon Keefe on Alex Kerfoot: “He’ll be a day-to-day situation. Looks like he’s doing well, he responded well today, but we’re not sure how long it’s going to be.”

Sheldon Keefe says #Leafs will be starting with a traditional 12-6 look, but doesn’t rule out rolling with 11-7 at some points, given the depth they’ve added on defence

Sheldon Keefe on Mitch Marner: “Expectations are quite high with him, but he looked really good today and again that line was very good. It looks like he’s got good legs and good energy, confidence and certainly looks ready to play for real.”
