Clay Travis: “If I am in an NBA ownership group, or I’m an NBA executive, or I am a television executive, I am getting heartburn every time the NBA ratings come back. On Friday night with virtually no competition — all we had was the San Diego Padres going up against the St. Louis Cardinals as the only other major sporting event going on — Only 4.5 million people watched the NBA Finals Game 2. That’s the fewest number of people who have ever watched an NBA Finals going all the way back through my entire life. Fewer than any point in the last 40 years. Last year when the Golden State Warriors were going up against the Toronto Raptors 13.9 million people watched Game 2. That’s nearly a 70% decline in audience for the NBA. That’s worse than any sporting event that we have seen anywhere. Why? Because the NBA has gotten too WOKE. People want to watch sports to escape the serious things in their lives. There are politics everywhere and it is impossible to escape. The NBA embraced left-wing politics more than any sports league ever has. They went WOKE, and as a result they are going BROKE… They have decided to get immensely political, and as a result the vast majority of American sports fans have said ‘I’ll find something else to do.’” (Full Audio Above)

Listen to Clay Travis explain why he thinks the NBA Finals ratings have been abysmal all week, as Friday night’s Game 2 between the Lakers and Heat drew a rating nearly 70% worse than the same number for last year’s Game 2 between the Raptors and Warriors.

Check out the video above as Clay says fans are turning their stations by the masses because they’re tired of the league and its players incessantly pushing left-wing politics, and living up to the ‘Get WOKE, Go BROKE’ phrase.
