NBA Draft 2021

The 2021 NBA Draft is set to take place on Thursday, July 29 at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The Toronto Raptors, who missed the NBA Playoffs for the first time since 2013, own three selections in the upcoming draft. After some lottery luck, the Raptors own the No. 4 overall pick in the first round, as well as the Nos. 46 and 47 overall selections in the second round.

With the 29th quickly approaching, the Raptors brass will bring in a number of prospects to evaluate as part of the draft process. It’s worth noting that many of the names brought in are part of the franchise doing its due diligence in evaluating as many prospects as possible.

  • Crutcher, a 6-foot-1 guard, averaged 17.6 points and 4.8 assists while earning All-Atlantic 10 First Team honours in the 2020-21 season.
  • Zegarowski earned First Team All-Big East honours after averaging 15.8 points and 4.2 assists in 2020-21 season. The younger brother of 2014 Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams.
  • Baker averaged 10.4 points and 3.2 assists in the 2020-21 season, earning an Honourable Mention All-Big Ten selection.
  • Wieskamp, a three-year starter at Iowa, averaged 14.8 points and 6.6 rebounds in 2020-21 season while shooting 46.2 percent from deep. Earned All-Big Ten Second Team selection.
  • Lewis averaged 7.9 points and 3.1 rebounds over 21 games (nine starts) during his sophomore campaign at Florida.
  • Koprivica, 21, appeared in 24 games (20 starts) in the 2020-21 season, posting averages of 9.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per contest.

According to his agent, Maryland’s Aaron Wiggins worked out with the Raptors on Monday, July 5.

Wiggins, a 6-foot-6 forward, averaged 14.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists during his junior season with the Terrapins. As a sophomore, he earned Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year honours.
